Looks like we got someone looking out for us below the 49th parallel at GamesForCanada.com. Seems they’ve got themselves set up to help us out up here with those sometimes inflated costs of game console accessories and software, and they’re taking requests as well. I’m sure that we’ve all encountered the prices of games being substantially higher in Canada compared to the prices in the US, take for example Fire Emblem for the DS, which can be found for $34.99 cdn or so here, but if you look around at any shop in the States, and it can be found for $14.99 usd. Despite the equality of the value of the Canadian dollar with the US dollar now, these disparities still appear to show up fairly consistently , but the guys at GamesForCanada look like they want to level the playing field a bit. The shipping rates seem to be pretty reasonable as well, as they’re up front with the exact cost right down to the ounce, and not looking to inflate the cost of shipping with just a nominal service fee on to top it. Heck, they even have some of those elusive plush Companion cubes which Valve never seems to be able to keep in stock or ship to Canada.

If anyone of you guys out there is in the market for a new LCD, Futureshop has got a 46″ Samsung flat panel for $2599.99. Thats $1400 offa their regular price for a 1080p and HD. It does a native resolution of 1920×1080p, and they’ll deliver. Its a model: LNT4681FX/XAA, and here’s the linkage.
