Staples has got a really low price on the Canon A580 right now for $98.82 (Regular Price: $148.82).  With each generation of Canon’s DIGIC III Image processors, they continue to gain quality in imagining and increased functionality.  The A580 has 4x optical zoom to go along with the 4x digital zoom.
