Here’s a pretty decent deal for an Acer 14.1 notebook at Bestbuy.  For $399.99, you get a 14.1″ Display with a resolution of 1280×800, a 120GB hard drive, an 8x DVD writer, an AMD Sempron 3600+ cpu, and 1GB of ram.  When you compare that to some of the mini notebooks out on the market now for the same price, with a smaller screen, less than 10GB hard drive, and no optical drive, this particular unit makes these offers seem quite lacking.  This Acer model also has a discrete graphic processor in the form of an ATI Radeon X 1250 and multi-card reader that can read SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro and XD, and also comes with a 6 cell Lithium-Ion Battery, and Windows Vista Home Basic pre-installed.
