This is a mighty low price for the Kingston 16GB USB 2.0 Data Traveler Thumbdrive at Woot! today. Even with the $5 shipping, that is an amazing deal for a 16GB drive. Despite their attempts at multiple usage of this DataTraveler as fishing lure at Woot!, having this much portable storage would be more beneficial for any office or school use.

Here are a couple of specials at theSource for October 15th: for their Daily Circuit Breaker, they got a full-sized telescoping tripod going for $14.62 (Regular Price: $39.99). Not much on the details but apparently it has two pan handles to facilitate ease of dismantling. It also appears to have a level, so you can keep the camera balanced in relation to the adjustment of the legs, which you don’t see too often on a tripod at this price. Price is good till the end of today or till they sell out for this one.

And it looks like they also have a Dane 8GB USB flash drive for $18.99 (Regular price: $39.99). Not a bad price for a 8GB flash drive. The picutre makes it look pretty small, so that would a bonus. The price is good till October 22nd, so that gives you a week to make up your mind if you want one of these. The online availability states November 14th as the shipping date, though, it would advisable to check out your local retail outlet to check if they got any left.

Cheap CPU/Mobo combo @ Frys

There’s a few nice AMD cpu with motherboard combo’s at Frys this weekend. There seems to be one to meet any of your dual-core, triple, or quad-core needs, which is pretty sweet. They’ve got a Dual-Core AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ with an ECS Geforce 7050M-M2 motherboard for $79.99. Here’s the specs for the motherboard:
*Nvidia Geforce 7050/630a chipset
*supports DDR2, Sata2, and RAID
*has a PCI-E video card slot and on-board nvidia graphics
*6 Channel audio

For their Triple-COre offering, there’s the AMD Phenom 8450 processor with an ECS Geforce 7050M-M V2 motherboard for $119.99. For the specs, its got the following:
*Nvidia Geforce 7050/630a chipset as well
*supports DDR2, Sata2 and RAID
*also has a PCI-E video card slot, in addition to the on-board video
*6 channel audio

And for the Quad-Core bundle, they’ve got an AMD Phenom X4 9550 and an ECS Geforce 7050M-M2 for $139.99. Same specs as previously mentioned in the dual-core combo for the motherboard.

If you really look it, you’re pretty much paying for the cpu and getting a free motherboard, so its not surprisingly a decent deal. DDR2 ram is pretty cheap these days, so if you were in the market for an affordable upgrade, it would be pretty easy to get a quad core setup for 150 or 160ish bucks, depending on how much ram you get. These are in-store only as well, so just drop by your local Frys to check these out.

Palit Radeon 3850 1GB Video card @ Dell for $89.99

Dell has a good price for the Palit Radeon HD 3850 with 1GB of GDDR2 memory on it today. It’s going for $89.99 (Regular price: $149.99). The manufacturer part number is: AE+38500+HD02, but here is a quick rundown of the specs:
*1024 of GDDR2 memory
*PCI Express 2.0 compliant and x16
*Crossfire Ready
*HDMI, DVI-D, Vga outputs
This would work well in an HTPC setup with the HDMI output for any one with a LCD tv that supports that or DVI-D. Or if you’re looking for a quick and cheap way to get into a Crossfire set up, two of these would work well in that configuration and provide really decent frame-rates in any of the current crop of DirectX 10 games on the market. These cards do require two pci slots to be free due to the size of the cooler, so just keep an eye out for that. The 1GB of on-board memory will really make a difference for running the desktop at high resolution or any games at high res as well. Yup, not a bad deal at all.

Here’s a recent find: Geeks.com has got a new site up under the concept of 1 Deal a Day, and as they have put it, “One Day, One Item, One AMAZING PRICE!”. And it looks like they have some decent stuff up today: they’ve got a Soyo 26″ 720P Widescreen HDTV LCD for $199.00 (Regular price: $319.99). That is not bad at all. The specs they have up are the following:

Looks like they’ve got a set of KLH Indoor/Outdoor speakers at The Source today for $33.33 (Regular price: $99.96). These speakers are weatherized so they can be mounted outside of the house with the packaged mounting hardware and used year around.

Here’s a new site that went up recently; Dipwa.ca. In the same vain as Woot! and Yugster, they’ve a got new deal everyday, but their shining distinction would be that they are proudly Canadian. Seems pretty good to me, and for today, they’ve a triangular 4-port USB 2.0 hub for $6.99. Its not a bad looking unit, with two ports on the two sides and two on top. Lowest price for an LG W2242T-PF LCD so far @ Compu2000

Looks like Compu2000 has got the LG W2242T-PF 22IN Widescreen LCD on sale right now for $179.99. Quite frankly, that is the lowest price that I’ve seen any 22″ LCD go for so far in terms of a brand new product and with a name brand associated to it. And this is a very decent LG as well, with an 8000:1 contrast ratio, and 5MS response time. The going rate for this is around $250 at other retailers, so this is an exception deal if you’re in the market for a high quality 22″ LCD. I got myself a couple of Westinghouse 22″ LCDs for $169 USD during Black Friday last year, but the specs for that don’t even compare to what the LG is capable of. Quanitites are limited for these, so order one soon from Compu2000 if you want one!!

Radeo X1950 Pro PCI-E video card fro $59.99 @ Woot! today!!!

Wooh, this is an insanely low price for a highly reasonable video card at Woot! They’ve got a Visiontek ATI Radeon X1950 Pro PCI-E Video card with 256mb of memory on it for just $59.99. This card was going for about $200 not more than year ago, so this is a pretty decent fine. It runs at the full 16x for the PCI-Express video slot, and if you noticed, it does support Crossfire, so you’ll be run two of them in Crossfire mode, and get some pretty good FPS out of them. It might not be fastest card out there, but if you’re on a budget and/or have a Crossfire compatible motherboard, a couple of these will be go a long way for any games you might be running now. It looks like these are going fast, so make sure you order soon. There’s $5 shipping on each, so the cost ain’t that high either.
